SerenoCem Ionomeric Cement
SerenoCem cement was designed specifically for use in the middle ear. It was produced as a result of a Brite-EuRam European research project aimed at providing Otologists with a safe, effective, hard-tissue replacement material. SerenoCem comprises a calcium fluoro-silicate base which is combined with polyacrylic acid to form a glass polyalkenoate cement. It was developed in the biomaterials department of the University of Sheffield, and is British-made.
